Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

I worked at Infinity Ward for just over five years.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (CoD:MW2) was released on 11/10/09 and was developed by Infinity Ward for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I was on the multiplayer team and worked on six levels which shipped with the game (see below).

I took these levels from ideation to layout, block-in, entity work, detail work, optimization and bug fixing. For the detail phase I worked with our talented Art and FX departments.

Storm and Fuel were both DLC maps I designed which became available for purchase after the game shipped. Each was trying to present a different way to play Call of Duty. Storm was designed to slow the gameplay down by introducing long flanking routes while Fuel brought a much larger map into play than the typically small and very fast-paced maps of CoD:MW2.

Karachi was a remake of an old Counter-Strike mod map I made, De_Karachi01. I ended up having to make some adjustments from the original layout to work with Team Deathmatch style spawning as opposed to the classic end-to-end Counter-Strike spawning. I also had to remove the randomly exploding truck :(
